Welcome! My name is Lin Yang. I am a Lecturer in the School of Accounting and Finance, Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
I am an applied microeconomist with research interests in development economics at the intersection of political economy. My work explores topics related to foreign aid, health, and armed conflict. In all my projects, I employ GIS mapping to build datasets and generate innovative insights.
I have supported a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in Economics, and I am passionate about fostering student engagement and critical thinking in the classroom.
Previously, I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Georgia Institute of Technology, my M.S. in Economics from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. in English from Central University of Finance and Economics.
